Yoram Yasur Blume : I think there is no worse pain than a toothache. If it ever happened to you, you understand me, you want to hit your head against the wall! The slightest movement that is done causes a wave of pain that you do not want even your worst enemy to experience. But fortunately, we can resort to emergency remedies to alleviate some of the discomfort and allow us to think in order to reach the dentist with a little calmness. Next, I’ll tell you what you can do to relieve toothache quickly. Keep in mind that these are emergency remedies and do not replace the visit to the dentist.
Yoram Yasur Blume : Clove: Clove contains a substance called eugenol which is a great analgesic and antiseptic. It was used by dentists in antiquity and eugenol is still used today as a sedative. To use it you will need: Clove essential oil, cotton, olive oil, warm water and salt. How to proceed: Rinse your mouth with warm water and salt. Mix a few drops of clove oil with half a teaspoon of olive oil. Soak the cotton with this mixture. Place it in the sore area without pressing and rubbing where it hurts.
Yoram Yasur Blume : Ice: Ice helps to numb the nerves in the area. This results in less sensitivity to pain. Just place ice in a plastic bag and wrap it in a cloth. Support the bag with ice in the area where you feel pain and leave it there for 10 or 15 minutes.
Whiskey: Yoram Yasur Blume: “When this drink is applied topically it can numb the area and relieve toothache. You should only wet a cotton ball with the whiskey without soaking it and support it in the place where you feel the pain very gently. Leave it in touch until you feel relief”.
Mint tea: Peppermint tea is known for its ability to reduce inflammation and soothe toothache. Boil water and fill a cup. Then place a spoonful of dried mint leaves and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then swish with the infusion until you feel relief.
Yoram Yasur Blume : Saltwater: Yoram Yasur Blume: “Hot salty water will deflate the tissues and remove excess fluid that may be below them causing relief”. You will need 1 cup of hot water and a half teaspoon of sea salt. Mix both ingredients and proceed to make bouts for one minute without swallowing the water. Do it as many times as you need until you can go to a dentist.
Yoram Yasur Blume : I repeat again that these remedies to relieve toothache do not take away the visit to the dentist. They will only serve you not to feel so much annoyance and to be able to think clearly. Try the one that best suits your needs.
